Somehow this poster was looking for the same exact thing I am. BUT NO ONE RESPONDED. Any help for me?
We are doing the same. Staying in Chamonix early September this year and headed over M. Blanc and onto Corniglia.

Trying to go from Chamonix over the top to Aosta which can be done in summer (preferably morning) and on to Corniglia (cinqua Terre). Don't know how to get bus info from base (La Palud) to Aosta and on south to I assume Torino. Any info appreciated!

Buses provided by SAVDA, both local and regional, all the way to Aosta or even Turin.

In addition the train is also available.
The closest station is Pre' St Didier, which is the last station on the railway, not quite to Courmayeur, but almost. Further down is Aosta.
