I’ve been in Rome for a week now. Just a short report for those who are thinking about visiting in the near future. Everything is open. A few more places have reservation requirements than usual, and many places have different hours than the guidebooks list, so always double-check the websites.
Restaurants are open, and like pre-Covid, reservations are smart for Friday/Saturday if you want to sit outside. Inside seating is almost always available. Public transportation is running as normal, but there are no capacity limits, so be prepared for packed buses and metro.
The outdoor mask mandate is being dropped on Monday, as you’ve heard from other posts. Masks are still required inside and on all public transportation.
I’m happy to answer any specific questions if possible!!
