Today was 30 days before my intended visit. Having watched the CoopCulture site for months, and seeing the largely sold out days, I gave up last week and put an order in with Tickitaly. I had to give payment details and everything.
This morning, I woke up to three urgent emails from Tickitaly, saying they were holding my tickets, but needed me to enter payment again - I am not sure why. But I did re-enter and then got a confirmation that they were getting the tickets.
Just to make sure that everything was okay, I called them directly to follow up and spoke with Pamela there, who was very nice and helpful. She confirmed that she had our tickets and they arrived in my email a few minutes later.
I paid a 6 Euro surcharge per ticket to get the tickets this way.
I did then go to the CoopCulture site and see what they had available for my tour date. They had 4 time slots for sale over the course of the day - and a total of about 55 tickets for sale, spread out between those 4 time slots.
From a tactical point of view, those tickets were not for sale last night when I went to bed - which would have been 7am in Rome. They came on the market between 10am and noon, Rome time.
