We are renting a boat on Lake Como to have for the day - are there any public docks that we can keep the boat at and explore the town?

We are staying in Varenna in late September, and most of the rental boats from there do not allow docking, unless it is at a private dock.
Maybe for an entire day it will be different, but definitely check first.

I would ask the place you are renting from what the possible options are. You can't be the first to ask !
