Traveling mid-June and it seems I've waited too late to secure an apartment type property to rent for our vacation to Vatican City. I've used the typical VRBO sites- any other suggestions??
Try widening your search to elsewhere in Rome...
I'm trying to stick to that area, but thanks! I just wondered if anyone else knew of a better way to search for short term rentals other than the standard VRBO site.
Try Homeaway and Airbnb. It may be difficult to find a 2 week rental only a month from now. Especially if you confine yourself to such a small area. If you can't find a full 2 weeks available you might consider splitting your time between 2 places.
Good luck!
If this is a dumb question, my apologies… You are not actually entering the words, Vatican City, into the search engine, are you? If you are, that may be the problem. There is no lodging within the walls of Vatican City.
If you go to VRBO and enter Prati (nearby part of Rome) or Vaticano, you'll see a number of properties available in June. I just don't know your specific dates.
Thanks guys!!
Use "Prati" district in your search. That's the neighborhood closest to the Vatican. I love the neighborhood. Great restaurants, not as touristy as other places. You might also like Trastevere neighborhood.
Looks like you're set. Happy planning.
