4 of us plan to visit Italy in May 2018 and are interested in renting a place for 3-4 weeks to use as a home base and then travel out from there. We think we would like to be between Florence and Orvieto, but are open to going further north too. We would appreciate any advice on specific rentals or locations.

We rented a villa in Tuscany through Tuscany Now and More. They were great to work with, they helped us hire a local chef to cook a few meals at the villa. It was the best food we had on our trip.

We've used Tuscanynowandmore as well but only for single week rentals. I would call to see if they do longer rentals and ask for their suggestions based on where you want to stay, how many rooms you need and other amenities you may want.
