I have went on several websites to rent a car from La Spezia and there are several options for pick up. Does anyone know which location is best to pick up a rental car?

A little more detail of the options would be desired. You'd probably be wanting the location closest to the train station.

There are three locations for pick up a rental car in La Spezia. I am not sure which one would be the least hassle. Any suggestions/ expertise? Thanks! 1. La Spezia downtown Office. 74-76 Via Fratelli Rosselli 2. La Spezia City Office. Viale San Bartolomeo

Can only relate that the San Bartolomeo office is quite a distance from the train station. We got lost, and but for the kindness of some locals who gave us a ride, would have never found it. Check the maps closely, what looks like a short walk can be deceiving! Enjoy, our story about getting lost is one of our fondest memories!!

The Avis office is easy a 15 minute walk from the train station and near the central market. Check for their open hours as they are somewhat limited.

I'm assuming you'll have luggage...
Best bet is to take a taxi to which ever one has the best rates.

The first one (AVIS) on via Fratelli Rosselli, is close enough to walk from the station (1 km or 15 min walk).
All others are too far to walk. Follow the advice above. Take a taxi to the cheapest rental. The farthest office is about 5 km, I'm sure the taxi fare won't be more than 10-15 euros.
