Renting a car- Como or Montecatini?

For the last part of our upcoming trip, we're traveling from Bellagio to Pistoia for a wedding. We want a car for our stay in Tuscany, but I wasn't sure if it was best to rent a car in Como and drive or if we should take the train to Montecatini and then rent the car there? Also, what other agencies should I look into besides Auto Europe? Thanks!

I can't answer the question about where to get the car, but Europcar is another rental agency. I got a much better price for my weekly rental through Auto Europe, though, and had no hassles whatsoever using them.
