So we want to rent a car at Venice Piazzale Roma on April 12, but its Easter so it is closed.
Therefore we are thinking about renting it on April 11, but won't actually be using it until the 12th.
We figure we'll go there on Saturday to take care of the paperwork, but was hoping to leave the car there and not actually take it until Sunday. Does anyone know if we'll have access to the car (is it outdoor, or in a garage) where we can exit without actually having an attendant there? Can rent with either Hertz or Europcar. Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, you'll have to pick it up and transfer it to the paid parking garage. I'd check with the company you're renting from.

Why not go to the airport and pick it up there on Sunday? Hertz is open ( I checked) and others may be as well.
