Has anyone rented a small motor boat in Varenna, Italy? We are a family of 4 adults. We would like to rent on one on July 11th or 12th.
I'm looking at VarennaRentaBoat.com. Looks like you can rent for 3 hours for 220 euros. Has anyone used this company or another they recommend (from Varenna, where we will be staying.) Also, I know you can't dock just anywhere, but can you anchor on the water to swim and picnic. Lastly, do you think we need to book ahead or can we do it when we get there. I'd prefer the latter if possible.

We rented from them in fall 2021 and booked the rental once we arrived in Varenna. They were accommodating and no issues with the boat. A nice time on the lake. We didn’t anchor and swim so I can’t give insight on that. Have a great trip.
