We plan to base ourselves in Florence and make day trips to neighboring cities. There will be between 5 and 11 of us. We do not want to drive. Does anyone know of a place to rent a van with a driver? and if so, what would be the price? We plan to go in early November. Dan

On this topic, has anyone had good experiences with having Florence as a base and seeing quite a bit of Tuscany? Are the buses regular and frequent enough to be able to go to more than one town in a day? For example, to San Gimignano and Montepulciano. Dan

Dan, there are buses, I have seen them, even on little used routes. BUT, it is hard to find schedules on line, and there seem to be a number of different bus companies. Here is link to some:
