Does anyone have recommendations for tour driver/car hire from Florence to Siena and San Gimigiano with a stop at a vineyard for lunch. We have rented a car but are thinking hiring a car might be a better option.
hey dtklcpear
unless you have a DD (designated driver) a tour is better. since you've rented a car, you will need a IDP (international driving permit) available at AAA/CAA.
come&seeitaly.com has tours from florence

lots of tours out there, don't know your budget, how many people, when you want to go.
also while in florence check out eatingeurope.com for food/wine tours. you'll have a great and fun time, leaving the driving to someone else. enjoy

I'd opt for a tour.
Walks of Italy tours are fantastic- have done several in Rome.

Use MAYSALE20 for a 20% discount if you book by 5/20- that's quite a savings!
Even though you seem to have a car- driving is easy in Tuscany- getting in and out of Sienna is a pain, you would need a designated driver, etc
