We will be renting a car for a week of our stay in Sicily - pick up in Palermo for drive via Segesta and Zingaro Park to Trapani and then south along the coast to Agrigento and then to Ragusa (and perhaps Siracusa).
I am looking at a Panda Fiat. We are two travellers who travel lightly (2 carry-on bags plus knapsacks). I have seen warnings re: leaving luggage in a vehicle. There are a couple of places where that would be most convenient for us - one is the parking lot at the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. The other is at the south entrance to Zingaro Park. If we drive into Siracusa, we would also like to park the car somewhere in Modica to wander around there enrolee (and maybe Scicli, too).
The Panda Fiat is a hatchback. Would a car with a trunk be safer? Or is leaving luggage in the vehicle anywhere an issue? (We might be able to leave luggage in Agrigento where we are staying the night before and then go back to pick it up).
