My Son always rents the car on European vacations. He never buys extra insurance because he says his Credit Card Benefit includes Rental Car Damage Etc. He is not traveling with us this year.
Any suggestions on what additional Insurance I should choose to cover me "Just in Case". It looks like various protection plans run from $8.00/day to $44.00/day. Thx
The answer party depends on your comfort level. You can use you credit card CDW coverage if your card has it or you can get a CDW policy from a third party vendor like Allianz. Finally there are the options through the rental car company. There’s a basic CDW and its cost will depend on the rental agency. The most expensive plan, but the one that affords the most piece of mind, has a limited or zero deductible. If you want the piece of mind plan, you must get the CDW through the rental company.
