Rent Car or train

We will be flying into Rome in June and staying a week in Orvieto. Is it easier to rent/return the car at the airport or take the train to Orvieto and rent/return from there? We arrive on a Sat morning and should have time to arrive at the rental shop by the 1 pm closing in Orvieto.

Are you going somewhere else other than Orvieto? If you are staying a week in Orvieto, there is no need to rent a car.
