I plan to do a few walking tours and the usual sites since I have never been to Venice. However, reading reviews I wonder if there is a reliable company that offers a consistently great tour?
LOTS of complaints with various tours offered.
Help would be appreciated.

Where are you researching? Have you looked at the ones Rick Steves recommends in his guide? He has never led us wrong on a tour guide recommendation.

That's is because you're reading too many reviews. Generally, more people with a beef post reviews than happy folks. At least you know they are genuine. 100% glowing reviews indicates they are fake.
And why do you need a tour? More fun on your own. RS has great walking tour apps on his site you can download and listen as you walk, or ride the No 1 vaporetto.

Thanks, I will look up the walks but I am also doing canal tour, and the big sites,and being a solo traveler I like joining groups and chatting with others as well, so the walking tours are one option but want to joing others...just looking for tours that value good service.

We took an evening tour with Walks of Italy of the Doges Palace and Basilica. The guy we had was outstanding. We also used them in Rome for an early morning Vatican tour. Again our experience was outstanding. Used them last spring.

I enjoy walking tours SO much more than reading info from a guide book or listening to an audio tour! Have used Walks of Italy in Venice, Florence,Rome, can not recommend highly enough!

We have used these folks for transfers and family members have taken the tours. Very reliable. We heard from them within hours of contacting by email. Their English is great. Highly recommend. You can see the reviews on Tripadvisor.
