Reliable shuttle company or limo service?

Hi, looking at Rome Limosine service which offers FCO to our hotel for 40 euros( it would have been 35 but apparently a surcharge for evening service) ,, is this a good deal or idea. I normally take public transport, but will be arriving at 9 pm with a child , so am wanting easiest way in..
My hotel is Hotel Selena , near the train station, apparently a 10 minute walk , so I could take train in and then taxi, but am leaning towards taking ride right from airport.. as I said, tired child , stressed mom complex..

Anyone have recommendations for companys they like, or should I just take a regular taxi?? Is there a taxi stand like at most airports( that may be a dumb question, LOL ) ..

RomeCabs, www.romecabs.com, is great and reliable. I would go with door-to-door service after a TransAtlantic flight, especially with a child. There is no porter service on the train so skip the schlepping of bags on/off the train all by yourself while trying to keep an eye on your child. Rome is great city to explore on foot but not with luggage.

Yep, your instinct is right. Door to door is definitely worth it in your case. There is indeed a regular taxi stand at the airport. What you don't know is how long the line will be, which varies throughout the day.

Pat - I've heard lots of positive comments about RomeCabs. When you email them, they respond very quickly and other posts have said they are very reliable. Leaving for Italy in two weeks and we've booked them both ways from and to the airport.

Pat - I have used Rome Shuttle Limousine and was happy with their service... Since they had our flight information, they were waiting for us right outside of baggage claim at FCO when our flight was delayed.

We just used romashuttle.com. They picked us up at 0500. The cost was 48E for 4 of us. There was an extra charge for the early hour. I liked the service.

I have emailed one company, and they responded quickly telling me price and that the driver would meet me, but when I emailed to reply that I did in fact want the service, they have not yet confirmed. Also , they have not explained if I just pay the driver??

There are so many of these companies and their names all sound the same almost, I think I have been conversing with romeshuttlelimosine.com, but honestly I am just confused, LOL

I figure I 'll just look for someone holding my name up, if I see them I go with them, if I don't I'll just get a cab>
