Registration for EES Milan MXB

All,
I know the whole process has been talked about extensively and I have searched some clarification.
We arrive MXB this coming Monday late morning. I know we have to register for EES before proceeding to Immigration. Where is that set up (Terminal 1) and is the signage clear?
Is it at the beginning of "Self service passport control" ?

Regards,
Dennis

MXP ? ( Milan Malpensa?) MXB is in Indonesia

EES is a process you go through, not something you 'register for'.

Coming off an international flight you will be funneled to where you have to go.

People have the impression that you must go through an extensive process, you really do not. Simply proceed to immigration, you will either see the kiosks, or be directed to a manual line. At the kiosk, scan your passport, smile for the camera, give them you fingerprints, then you may or may not be asked additional questions. At the end, you will either be directed to the e-gates (if they are using them) or to the manual lanes.

It is one fluid process, and you likely will do parts of it every time you enter. Follow the signs, look for lanes indicating for US passports (if that applies), pay attention to messages on the kiosk, directing you to a specific line.

I went through the EES in Amsterdam in June, 2026. My flight was delayed and I was worried that I would miss my connecting flight to Prague. As soon as I departed in AMS, someone was available to help me with the process - guiding me to right kiosk, helpinng with eye scan, finger printing, etc. It was very fast.
