For all you frustrated travelers, it looks like Trenitalia has the Regionali posted. Just checked a Vernazza to Venice for June 15 and there they were.
…and the heavens opened and the angels sang!
Good news, Sam!
Thank You!
Oh Happy Day!
Finally!!
Interesting that, at least for the first few InterCity routes I looked at, there don't seem to be any discounted fares available. Does anyone know if they tend to release discounted IC fares later?
Reminder for anyone getting schedules through DeutscheBahn that these updates will take longer to be posted that site.
And yes, it appears that activating the advance-discount fares will be step 2.
I purchased super economy fares this morning for both IC and Freccia trains for 2 September dates on the Trenitalia website.
Last night, when I noticed that the routes had posted, all the fares for my route were listed at Euro 111 which is considerably more than the 9 Euro paid last year for the same route. So, I waited.
Good luck!
Good news travels quickly! I was able to access the site an hour ago, now the site keeps crashing before it even loads on my iPad! Will check back in a few days! 😉
I doubt many were getting tickets on-line at 2 AM, mainly because 90% of Trenitalia's customers purchases non Freccia tickets on the day of departure or the day before.
Probably they're using the wee hours to work on the site, I bet (hope) they're going to sell some discounted fares more.
If they have just been released, how are so many routes already sold out. I had gone to dates in early June to look at train times. Now that July is uploaded my preferred routes are already sold out. I really wanted to stick with IC and freccia so I could have seat reservations. those are the trains that don't have anything available.
