We are considering staying in Reggio Calabria for 4 nights. Has anyone spent much tome there?

Yes, get Karen Haid’s book: Calabria The Other Italy. She also has a book about Basilicata. She helped me plan my 2 week Calabria trip back in 2018. After Calabria province we went to Sicily by taking the car over. Then went back to Calabria & returned the car there- at Calabria airport. Flew to Rome for last 5 days of a 3 week trip.
Karen’s book helped me plan the trip. Father’s side is from Calabria - Gallico which is a tiny town next to Reggio. I actually found my family’s homestead area while there. :) Marianna
