Red Bike tour of the Appian Way?

wondering the same....may do in july? thoughts?

ok...clue me in ...bike ride on Sunday best because?

vehicle traffic is banned on Sundays on a good chunk of the via Appia Antica

I haven't been on the red bike tour but did go with Top Bike Rental on their Apian Way tour and found it excellent. It's a fair amount of off roading and cobblestones so you will want to get the mountain bike (although I used a touring bike and was fine). You will probably want some sort of biking experience as there were a few people on the tour who hadn't been on a bike since they were teenagers and had trouble with the basics of riding in a straight line and braking. If you have rode a bike in the last year or two you should be ok. Have fun

Looking at the reviews of the Red Bike tour (especially the negative/poor ones) on tripadvisor and honestly I wouldn't feel comfortable going with them. I realize as a business person sometimes clients are not happy no matter what you do for them... but by responding in an unprofessional manner on a public review site... wow. I feel those responses reflect poor management style...and make me doubt the legitimacy of the positive reviews out there... Perhaps I'm reading too much into it though. :)

Definitely check all your options before booking with them. :)
