I am looking for some recommendations for rooftop restaurants in Venice with a great afternoon/sunset view.
The Hilton Molino Stucky on Guidecca has a rooftop bar called the Skyline Bar with great views looking over to Venice. Not sure about the sunset view though, it faces north. The hotel has a shuttle boat that takes you across to Guidecca. I have linked both below.

Not a restaurant, but another nice view is going to the second level of St. Marks Basilica where the museum is located. It cost a couple euro per person, but you can walk out on the roof around the horses and it has a great view of the immediate area.
The Danieli has a rooftop restaurant.
Not a restaurant, but here's another option:
Grand canal roof top view (T Fondaco Dei Tedeschi next to Rialto): free reservations at www.dfs.com 15 days out
That link is an advertisement.
Thank you for the suggestions.
I ate here several years ago: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187870-d1036436-Reviews-Ristorante_La_Calcina-Venice_Veneto.html
It is along the Zattere, and there is seating over the water. This is a more peaceful area, away from the more central Venice action.
Hilton Molino Stucky has a beautiful rooftop bar with lovely view for sunset. I don't remember they have much for food, just bar snack.
