Hi All!
First trip to Rome and Italy in October. Looking for recommendations for places to stay in Rome and Florence. We are meeting our son and his wife in Tuscany and will do a Villa together there.
Our travels will be Rome, Florence, Tuscany and Cinque Terre and back to Rome for flight home.

In October 2022, I stayed at Basilio 55 in Rome for 5 nights and really liked it. It’s on the north side of Piazza Barberini and walking distance to many sites. Easy access to bus, metro, and taxi stand. I got a Double Superior room that had a queen sized bed, small fridge, desk, and wardrobe. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of nearby restaurants. They had a small breakfast available for purchase 6 mornings a week (not Sundays) with your coffee made to order. Have fun in Italy, it’s wonderful!
