Group for 4 well educated super seniors staying in Rome would like to have driver and tour guide to Naples and environment. Definitely see archaeological museum plus other sites. Any recommendations?
That would make for a long day with a min amount of touring in the Naples areas. It would difficult to have enough time for both the museum and Pompeii. You might contact some of the guides in Steves' Rome guidebook for recommendations.
It would be wise to stay in Naples while visiting it’s archeological museum and , I assume, Pompeii.
Definitely see archaeological museum plus other sites.
I guess I would ask what those "other sites " are? It would make a difference how much time you realistically need for this trip. By car to Naples (and back) takes quite a lot longer than by train, and "well educated" doesn't necessarily translate to how long one can spend on their feet, or how easily those feet can deal with uneven surfaces (as at Pompeii).
