Recommendations for Venice Cooking Class

Hi.. we are going to be in Venice in January and looking for a half day hands on cooking class. There are some to choose from on Trip Advisor but difficult to narrow down. Anyone that has more recent experiences good or not so great, I would love a recommendation. My other thought is to ask the hotel concierge but would prefer to have something planned in advance. Thanks for any suggestions! Thanks for your replies!

We did a private Prosecco tour up in the hills and on Prosecco road, tasting so much and having lunch at a small village restaurants. One of my highlights on my third trip to Venice.

Thanks so much for your insights and info !! Will ck your links out! Hope you didn’t get flooded in Martinez. We’re in Tahoe and got 6 inches of heavy wet snow. Hopefully a good start to the season. Thank again!

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for replying to my topic. Yes, some traditional hands-on afternoon class on the main island since our time is limited.

Nigel, Pardon I guess I didn’t reply specifically..either would work for us since we’re not especially knowledgeable about the differences

Thanks again

Hi
I don't have any recommendations for cooking class in Venice but I have been to an incredible week long cooking experience in Tuscany and it was so wonderful I am going back next year. The name of it is Toscana Saporita and the owner is fabulous. Hope you don't mind that I suggested something in Tuscany when you were looking for Venice.
Best of luck

I hope you find what you are looking for.

Northern Italian cuisine revolves around what is found in the north, particularly what grows in the Po river valley, so polenta and risotto, and not pasta which is predominantly southern, and, especially for Venice, what grows in the Adriatic and the lagoon, so lots of fish.

Thank for your reply, Deb. Sounds like a wonderful experience and Tuscany is amazing. We stayed outside Florence a few years ago and enjoyed some great food but not cooking. Hope you can return soon!

Hi Nigel, Thanks for clarifying the difference between cuisines. I was thinking that might be the case but I’m sure equally delicious!
Best,
