My wife and I are trying to understand the best approach regarding Vatican tours on Day 16 of the Best of Italy Tour. Our questions include: when and where does the Rome walking tour end, what time does the farewell dinner start (ultimately, we're trying to understand how much time we have to travel to/from and tour the Vatican), do you have Vatican tour recommendations which best fit the time available?

The most accurate time information will come from the Rick Steves' office. They are so helpful with those kinds of details to make sure you can coordinate your free time plan accurately.

Can you do a night tour on the 15th day? That’s what some on our tour did. We were leaving when they arrived. Call the office to get more info.

One of the tour alumni scrapbooks from last year shows the itinerary. The guide’s note says “we should end by the Colosseo by 2pm.” Then notes that the group will meet at the hotel at 7pm to walk to the last group dinner.
