I am looking for private tour company recommendations to take a group of 6 (3 couples) from Florence to Cinque Terre for a 10-12 hour day tour in April.
We are unable to stay the night in Cinque Terre. Seeking a private driver to pick us up from our Florence hotel, drive us to Cinque Terre, and then guide us via train, boat, etc. through Vernazza, Manarola & Riomaggiore villages for the day - then return us back to our Florence hotel.

You do realize that you can do this much faster, and MUCH less expensively on your own by train?
Is cost an issue/concern?
My 'swag' would be in the area of $400(+) per couple plus the cost of transportation among the Villages.
If I were intending to do what you propose I would ask your lodging staff for a suggestion/recommendation.
Finding someone who is licensed to carry/drive passengers for a fee and be a tour guide, may be challenging.
Hopefully I am wrong and someone will have a solution for you.
Was hoping someone would have firsthand experience with a driver+ guide (due to strict licensing, they are apt to be two different people) but I'll throw this out:
