Recommendations for Naples and Florence, Italy.

Hello.
We will be in Rome, Naples and Florence in early November 2026. At present we will be in Rome for 5 days, 4 days in Naples and 3 days in Florence. I am sure we will have plenty to see and do in Rome but I am looking for suggestions as far as Naples and Florence.

Not sure if we should shorten the stay in Naples or even look for alternate places to stay. We have been having issues finding a reasonably priced hotel in Naples and some of the apartments for short term rentals seem to be in "questionable" neighborhoods (at least in areas near the city center).

Any advice, suggestions and guidance would be greatly appreciated. We can certainly revisit our itinerary. This is our first visit to Italy.

Thanks and may your day be awesome!

Count your trip in Nights
Where will you fly into and out of?

Is that 4 nights in Naples- which is really just 3 full days

Plenty to do

Florence-again 3 nights or 4 nights?
3 nights (2 full days) is really the minimum needed for Florence alone
Add a night for each day trip

Major museums are closed on Monday

If you are unsure of Naples go to Venice
Fly in to Venice, out of Rome
Super easy

Have you tried the Hotel Piazza Bellini in Naples? We stayed there a few years ago, and loved it. It was affordable enough that we sprang for a room with a terrace! And we certainly never ran out of things to do and see in Naples. We were there about 5 or 6 days, including 2 days at the end of the South Italy tour. This hotel is not where the tour stayed; the Piazza Bellini is less expensive, and we liked it better. The location is great, very near the archeology museum.
