We would appreciate recommendations for a hotel for 1-2 nights in central Milan for September. We intend to get tickets when available to view The Last Supper early in the day if that has any impact on logistics. Thank you.
We stayed a few minute walk from “The Last Supper” at the Antica Locanda Leonardo. It is set back from the road and has a nice garden area in the rear. And is very near “ The Last Supper.”
We have reservations for this May at the Hotel Gran Duca Di York in Milan. I think I got the recommendation from ChristineH.
We stayed at Hotel Gran Duca di York in 2017 specifically for a tour to see the Last Supper. Staying again in May. Lovely facilities, wonderful breakfast, nice staff and a very easy cab ride to Linate.
We stayed at Hotel La Madonnina a couple years. It’s about a block from the Duomo Plaza and it’s on a tram line that goes to the monastery where The Last Supper is located. I would definitely stay there again. Good luck!
I'm also on Team Hotel Gran Duca Di York!
I'm not a breakfast eater but their spread along with their cappuccino gets me downstairs. I DO recommend if you stay here that you check out the shower turn on before you disrobe in case you need to go downstairs for instructions, lolol!!
The first time I stayed there I was with my brother and SIL who were staying at Malpensa. We arrived around noon and the hotel not only held their bags for them but also offered to call them a cab to the Cadorna Train station to catch the Malpensa Express. So very kind!
