May 2016 trip........... Staying at Agriturismo Marciano for one week (outside of Siena). Wondering where to stay in the Umbria area for week two. Thanks.

We enjoyed our stay in apartment I Papaveri at Agriturismo La Fornace just a few km outside of Assisi. You can see Assisi from the pool. We stayed here a week and the apt. worked well for our family of 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They have smaller apartments too. We did daytrips around the region to Assisi, Perugia, Spello, Bevagna, Montelfalco, Gubbio and even went to Civita di Baggnoregio and Todi. You could easily go to Cortona, Montepulciano & Montalcino from here too. We had already been to these places on a previous trip so opted to skip them this time around. There is a little village very close to the agriturismo to pick up some grocery items too. www.lafornace.com Buon Viaggio!
