Hello thinking of Padua for overnight visit. Any unknown sights to visit?( planning on seeing the S.Chapel, St Antonio Basilica
Recommendations of hotels / area to stay?
Memorable restaurants?
Thank you
The historic botanic garden is delightful. The frescoes in the duomo too are stunning.
I had a superb stay at Belludi 37 near St Anthony's Basilica.

The tram makes getting around town very easy.
Wandering around the old town is nice, too.
Thank you. That hotel is booked for our June trip. Is the old town to stay in? Or just walk around?
I think it would be a lovely place to stay but can't tell you what is available there. I'm always looking for the cheapest acceptable place, and spots in the historic districts of Italians cities tend to be a bit more expensive.
David, do you mean "tram"?
In addition to what was mentioned above, I really liked the Prato Della Valle, the Palazzo della Ragione, and just wandering around downtown close to the University and the Cafe Pedrocchi, particularly in the early evening when everyone was out and about. I stayed at the Hotel Casa del Pellegrino, right across from the Basilica - very reasonable, and very helpful staff.
Yes, tram. It's great.
