Recommendation on Milan stay for 2 nights

Three families but how many people in all? And where will you go after Milan?

we are 6 adults and 3 kids. We are visiting Europe first time and plan to go Milan to Lake Como - Tirano- Zurich - Lucerne and cover areas around Interlaken / lauterbrunnen / Murren in end of May - 1st week of June.

Last year Sept 2022, we stayed in Hotel Ibis Milano Centro. Cost was $135/2/with breakfast.

We have stayed in Milan a few times and the Lancaster Hotel is our favorite. It’s very nice and located in a convenient area, just a little north of the Sforza Castle. The staff there were very nice and helpful and the rooms/breakfast were great. I’d definitely stay there again.

I would check on booking.com for an apartment (or apart-hotel type place) that can accommodate your group. With that many people, it would be good for you to have a common area to congregate, and probably very nice to have a kitchen so you can have drinks and snacks and coffee in your room. I just did a quick search and there were 21 properties with three bedrooms with over a 9 rating for $500 or less per night on random dates in May. Over a hundred with lower ratings.

How many rooms and separate beds do the six adults and three kids need? You can search booking.com by number of beds, people, and rooms. Depending on the dates in May, you could be running into events that make the prices higher.

thanks for your suggestion. We basically could stay in a hotel as well if the area is closer to main attraction. let me check the price. Will see some of the suggestion given here works or not.
