We've stayed at Hotel Antiche Mura in Sorrento and really enjoyed it. The location is great, breakfast was more than enough, and the grounds were very pleasant. We'd upgraded to a standard comfort room, and liked having the extra space for a few days: Italian hotel rooms - like many in Europe - can be on the tight side!

A second for Hotel Antiche Mura! Very well located, quiet, great service and breakfast.

I have stayed at the Hotel Il Nido just outside Sorrento. It's up on a hill and has a wonderful view of the bay area and Capri. Breakfast is free and they have a free shuttle that runs people down to the town.

I stayed there back in 2007 and loved it so much I'm doing it again in late Oct!

Can't wait!

Check out Settimo Cielo (Seventh Heaven). We enjoyed our stay there in May. The basic rooms offer stunning and unforgettable views of the bay, Vesuvius, Capri, and the fishing village directly below. Breakfast in a large room with, again, a beautiful view. The hotel is close in but a short walk up the hill from town.

Hello Nancy! In Sorrento we loved, loved ,loved "Villa Monica B&B" ... Great rooms, fantastic views, wonderful restaurant recommendations by the best host I`ve encountered in my trips! ... Congratulations on your trip!

For a tremendous location in Sorrento I would recommend Hotel Sorrento City. On main street close to shops, close to train and bus station for easy day tripping to Amalfi coast and Pompeii. Nice staff. Rooms in front may be a little loud from street noise but we had a balcony and enjoyed the show

Enjoy

We, too, loved Hotel Il Nido. It's above town, with magnificent views, but with an easy free shuttle into town. Breakfasts were delicious and the dinners were so good that we ended up eating there every night. One of our very favorite hotels on a 5-week trip in Italy.
