Recent recommendations for hotels in Milan, Turin & Zermatt.

I am planning a short stop over in Milan on way back to US after a river cruise on Danube. I was thinking best route would be to take a bus to Turin from airport, then take train to Milan and then a train to Zermatt. I am flying back to US from Milan. I have a week. Any hotel recommendations appreciated or special tidbits of information. I plan 2 days in each location but have a flexible schedule. Thank you.
