Recent Apartment Rentals in Rome

Hello, I know this question has been asked many times, and I have gone through the Search. The problem I am finding is that quite a few of the recommended apartments, even from only a year ago are no longer listed. SO,,,, I was wondering if anyone who has travelled recently and stayed in a nice apartment in Rome would like to share?? We are a family of 4 who will be travelling next July for 1 week to Rome. I am looking (have short listed a few places, but always looking for "feet on the ground" experience) for anyplace that is under $1400. Hopefully with a nice balcony view or terrace and wifi. We have no problem walking up to 2-3 miles (5km) to get to the city center. Any and all suggestions welcome. I was trying to locate vrbo 289229, but apparently it is no longer available.
Thank you!!

Try Casa Navona, right near the Piazza; they have a website and I think they're in your price range (they give discounts the longer you stay).

We (two couples) stayed in Angeli House "penthouse A" apartment in Trastevere just across the river. It It is just across the Tiber, definitely walking distance to the center, and looks exactly like the pictures. The terrace is beautiful! It doesn't have a living room, as such, bit kitchen seating. We spent most of our time on the terrace. It is €1400/week in high season. Just google "Angeli House" & check it out.

http://www.vrbo.com/34749 Claudia listed this one as well. I stayed there last year and LOVED it. It's in the middle of everything, very spacious, and loads of character. No terrace though and it's a favorite subject of the amatuer photographers so keep the blinds closed :) http://www.vrbo.com/247603
This place is also in a great location (just down the street from the one above) I've stayed here a couple of times in the last 2-3 years. The terrace makes this place but there's not much of a view from it. It's a lot larger than it appears in the photos too. Both are in the Monti area which is my favorite area to stay in if I'm in town for more than a couple of days. Fell free to PM me with any questions. Have a good trip!

We were in Rome this June. With RoninRome's help we used SleepinItaly and at the last min got a great apt right off of Navona. Great place and location to stay.
Good luck and enjoy Italy !

I have stayed in this apt three times - vrbo 336305. It is a one bedroom apt with a sitting room (aside from the living room) which will sleep two more in chairs that pull out to be beds (they have it all set up when you arrive). The apt overlooks Campo Dei Fiori, which is noisy at least 18 hours of the day, but the shutters and heavy doors in the apt do manage to keep 95% of the noise out. This apt costs about 125 euros per night. Fiora, the lady who manages that apt, also owns the penthouse in the same building, and I have stayed in it once. It is two floors, a 2 bedroom 2 bath, and would cost about 200 euros per night but perhaps less. It also overlooks Campo dei Fiori. There is no elevator so there are 38 stairs to the lower apt and 76 stairs to the penthouse. We absolutely love being right on the Campo and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Fiora is very easy to work with.
