Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel in Rome? (Reasonable = about 80-100 euros per night). We'll just be there one night in mid October and will need to get to the airport by 8am for a 10am flight.
Suggestions?
Thanks........

Hi Carol,
It helps if you define reasonable & what time of year you'll be there. Also if you have any particular requirements.
We stayed at Hotel Paba, near the Colosseum (1 metro stop away from Termini train station). I believe it cost 90 euro a night, if we paid in cash, and this was in November, so the low season. I'm sure the rate will be higher in September/October. The hotel was quite small and very clean.
I will be in the Soggiorno Sunny this October and rate is $74 euros per night, is really close to termini station - walking distance - and from there you can take the metro to the airport
What are the dates you need ? Alos, it appears most of the hotels will contact shuttle 65 euro or you can check taxi service as per rick steve's italy book
Try the B & B University located near Termini. It is clean and reasonably priced. Look at reviews on Tripadvisor.
This past July we stayed at the b&b Armonio All' Opera for 90 euro. The place was brand new and I found it on venere.com. It is a few blocks from the Stazione Termini and across the street from the Roma Opera House on Via Viminale. It is next door to the Ristorante Amatriciana which is very good. The b&b was very clean and comfortable.
Buon viaggio,
RB
For something reasonable, I'd check out the Bed and Breakfast Association of Rome (www.b-b.rm.it) or Cross-Pollinate-Rome. We had difficulty finding something in that price-range for early October but finally used the B & B Association site and found a room near the Vatican for 92 Euro.
Good luck!
Hotel Welrome, near Termini. Small, very clean rooms and helpful staff.
to repeat myself:
Hotel Panda...right in the heart of Rome...just minutes from the Spanish steps, double bed with bath at less than 110 Euros.

If you read the reviews you will see a lot of very satisfied customers interspersed with people who say the rooms are too small....I don't know much experience they have had with Roman hotels...but it's a lot like Venice, Paris or London...small rooms, high prices.
Palazzo del duca - right near Piazza Novona. We just stayed there and it was great. They arranged for a limo to pick us up at the airport (45 euro) and to take us back. We could walk to everything and Paolo is a big help. They own hotels near the train station but we prefer being near Navona. Also look at Residentia Canali - we stayed there a few years ago - good pricing.
Definitely Residenza Canali. Right by Piazza Navona and many restaurants nearby. Stefano was very helpful getting us around town.
