Re: 48 hour transit pass in Rome

I'm planning a trip to Rome and will be purchasing the 48 hour transit pass. From what I've read, I just validate it once for all the busses I want to take, but what about the trains? And for the trains, how do I get through the turnstiles? Do I slip the pass into the ticket machine (that gobbles up and spits out your ticket, enabling you to pass through the turnstiles)?

I'm trying to figure this stuff out now so I can relax and feel like a sort of know what to expect. Thanks for any advice!

Yes--you're correct. All you have to do is insert your pass into the turnstile and it will let you through. And . . . if you use the Metro before you use a bus, the ticket will be validated and you don't have to worry about finding a yellow box on a bus. Just keep the validated ticket on your person. It's an easy system all around.
