I am in Ravenna, came from Venice and don't need to be in Florence for 4 more days. Any suggestions. Traveling by train but would do a bus. Anyone been to Ancona?

How about Urbino. You can see "The Flagellation". It has been called "The greatest small painting of the Renaissance" by some famous art historian whose name escapes me. Besides the Ducal Palace, there is a university in this hill town. Bus from Pesaro train station.

PS A stop in Rimini might also be in order. Its on the way to Pesaro from Ravenna.
