Staying overnight in Ravenna, then plan to travel to Venice. Any recommendations for how to travel. Trains seem to take a round about way to get to Venice, and not sure about bus schedules.

pre trenitalia you can do the trip in under 3hrs with 1 train change...thats typical.

Otherwise, both Trenitalia and Italo trains go from Ravenna to Venice with a simple change in Bologna.

You can also change in Ferrara which is a smaller station so a bit easier than Bologna
