We liked Palazzo Bezzi. Walkable from the train station and the main sites, lovely and modern, not expensive.

I recommend the hotel Albergo Capello in Ravenna. We stayed there this spring. Well located, huge room, big, modern bathroom. Breakfast was fine and served indoors or in a small but nice patio. We did not have dinner in their restaurant but enjoyed a "happy hour"glass of wine along with a huge array of complimentary munchies, indoors or at street-side tables. Friendly and helpful staff. They copied many pages of our travel info and guides and refused to take a penny. I sent a frantic email before loosing my internet connection advising the hotel we were delayed by a train strike; they greeted us at the door when we finally arrived at 12:30AM. His first words to us as he unlocked the doors and took our luggage from our hands..."Welcome to Ravenna! I see you have experienced the italian public transportation service that does not serve the public." I knew then we were OK. Also liked the restuarant La Gardela nearby.

We liked Casa Masoli, also not expensive and walking distance from the train and major sights. It is set in a historic building and beautifully decorated, serving a delicious breakfast, and when we were there the price was comparable to Hotel Byron. We were there in 2011 and at that time it was recommended by RS. You can check them here http://www.casamasoli.it/#/contatti/

A second for Casa Masoli. We were there this past May.

We just visited Ravenna & stayed in Hotel Diana.
It's very reasonable, on a quiet street within walking distance from train station, the staff was very helpful & nice. You can book directly with the hotel: http://www.hoteldiana.ra.it/

Enjoy your trip!
