Can anyone advise about how to get from the cruise port to the town itself? Thanks, TC

First, a high percentage if not a majority of the passengers are independent travelers like yourself. A day or two before the ship docks there will be a presentation on the ship about the port including how to get to the town center. If public transit is not available from dock side the ship will provide bus service to the town center on a regular schedule. The cruise ship will take care of you.

Hi TC. We made a cruise stop in Ravenna in 2009. As Frank noted, the cruise personnel will provide a talk the day before you dock in Ravenna (as they will for every port), but I can let you know thatat least when we docked there with Princessthere were taxis very close to where the ship docked that began arriving shortly after we docked. Also, the ship was running a no-cost shuttle bus to the city center and back to the ship throughout the day. BTW, we loved Ravenna! The mosaics are beautiful, and the city itself was nice to just walk around. Enjoy your trip!
