We highly recommend the b&b Galla Placidia (www.gallaplacidia.it). We decided to pop for the most expensive room, which I'm remembering cost 85 euros. It was good sized, nicely furnished, with modern bathroom. Best of all, it has a very large, private terrace with a chaise, table and other chairs. The other rooms are less expensive. The breakfast is good; and the owner, Gabriella, was very helpful. The b&b is located inside the old walls, a very short distance from the complex that includes S. Vitale. You can walk to everything.
