Ravello wedding

My husband and I are flying to Italy for a friends wedding in Ravello. We will be in Italy a total of 9 days. We will fly into Rome. Do we have enough time to add another city to visit in that time period? Maybe Florence? How many days should I plan in each city if we were to do Rome , Florence and Ravello?

How many nights?

How many days/nights are required in Ravello?

Your free days are when, in relation to the wedding?

It is essential to not be in Ravello the morning you fly home from Rome.

We definitely need more info about the wedding days involved. Since you have to be in the Amalfi coast for the wedding I would think you would want to take the opportunity to explore the beautiful coast and possibly Capri? Then use your remaining days in Rome if you have never been. We did a trip recently to Amalfi, Rome and Florence in 13 days. We barely touched the surface as far as seeing what we wanted to see.

Total of 8 nights.
Thought we would arrive on the 12th and either just do Rome or Rome and Florence on n those first few days. The wedding is the 17th. Thought we would not head down to Ravello until the 16th and leave on the 18th to head back to Rome. Leave for home on the 20th. Sounds like maybe your saying we only have enough time for Rome and Ravello/Amalfi Coast area.

8 nights is just barely enough for Rome and Amalfi Coast area.

We spent 9 nights in the AC region and had just enough time to see what we wanted to see-
Sorrento 4- visited Pompeii, Capri, skipped Naples due to rain
Amalfi 2- visited Positano
Ravello 1- visited Villa Cimbrone
Salerno 2- visited Paestum

If you have to fly RT Rome I would arrange itinerary to head right to Sorrento- or wherever you chose to base in the area (Salerno is a good base as well)- then the wedding- then return to Rome putting all Rome nights at end. Eliminates that split stay /1 wasted night in Rome.
You must be IN your departure city night before flight.

Rome needs a bare minimum of 4 nights- 3 can work if you are not jet lagged
Florence needs 2 or 3

A 3 night stay is really only 2.5 days
Each location change eats up at least half a day.

If you don't care about visiting anywhere else in Amalfi area then go right to Florence when you land
Florence 3
Ravello 2
Rome 3

It's just a lot of travel time to get to and from Ravello- you might as well make the best of it by spending time in the area

Ravello is lovely but not really a good base to visit AC.

There is the whole Bay of Naples to visit, too. Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento, Amalfi, Naples.
