Does the Italian Rail Pass cover the short ride from Rome's airport to the central train station? I was told it does.

Jim, I've never heard of an Italian rail pass for Americans. Are you referring to a Eurail pass for Italy? If yes, I believe that you may need a 1st class pass to ride free on the Leonardo Express. The only fare on this train is a 1st class fare of 14Euro.

Why do you need a rail pass? Trains in Italy are cheap, and if you're over 26 years, a pass isn't much of a bargain.
