Am staying in vernazza and flying out of milan italy. is there a train I can take out of vernazza to milan airport malpensa. thanks for any help you can give. Richard

Yes, there is absolutely a train. You'll first travel from Vernazza to Milano Centrale and then transfer to the Malpensa Express for the trip to the airport. The train from Vernazza to Milan may involve some changes, depending on which train you use. The trip on the Malpensa Express is ~52 minutes if taken from Milano Centrale (it also leaves from Milano Cadorna). If any of the trains on your route are Regionale, be sure to validate your tickets prior to boarding the train on the day of travel, or you'll risk hefty fines.

Vernazza to Milan will take several hours. Unless your flight is in the afternoon, you will probably want to be in Milan the night before.
