Any predictions about whether there may be strikes in Italy this spring (May) that will affect train service? The train system is a public system, correct? reading that there may be strikes by unions over proposed economic reforms.

Hi Doris. Strikes are common, but they are announced in advance and usually last for just one day. Some trains will still run even on a strike day. Don't worry about it; just be aware of the possibility. Enjoy your trip!
