Rail Strike in Italy

I called the rail company about an announced strike in Italy on July 6-7. I was told that this is regional trains and that my travel region isn’t affected. However, I see news reports that the strike is national. What is a good resource to figure out our train situation? Thank you!

Is "the rail company" Trenitalia or Italotreno?

The rail company is ItaliaRail.

We are on fast trains, so it appears that we are fine. Traveling Bologna to Venice.

I have never been to Italy before and am very excited. Thank you for the help!!

ItaliaRail is not a rail company
It is a reseller

Which train company are your tickets?
Trenitalia or ItaloTreno?

Hello,

I'll be arriving at FCO on 7 July around 730AM. Does anyone know if the strike will affect the train service to Termini?

Airport trains like the Leonardo Express can't strike.

Local trains are guaranteed to run before 9 AM and after 6 PM. So you could also take the FL1 train from FCO to Roma Trastevere and a cab from there to your hotel.

Hi, we are traveling from Rome to Venice on FrecciaRossa on July 7. I called ItaliaRail toll free at 18773757245. They said the trains will still be running but there will be no workers
