We are at Hotel Berna in Milan. We planned to take the train to Varenna, but trains are on strike until 5 PM. THERE ARE NO BUSES. If there are others in same situation, we can carpool to Varenna. Otherwise we will arrive later than the orientation meeting.

Have you emailed the tour department? Others are probably in the same boat so to speak. However, it does seem like the office in Edmonds will open today 1 hour after the 5 pm meeting starts, given the time difference.

You have the hotel list that has the hotel phone number and, usually, email. Call or send a note and they’ll see that the guide receives your message.
When they send out your tour package with hotel listings, etc., RS Europe should provide tour members with the guide’s email and cell number.

Has this rail strike been settled. We are leaving on Aug 17th to Italy. Will be in the Lake Como Area on 8/24.
