is the Eurail pass valid from the airport to Roma terminal?

From Eurail's website: From Rome Fiumicino International airport,there are connections to Roma Tiburtina/ Ostiense (train every 15 minutes- all Passes are accepted) and Roma Termini (train every 30 minutes - only 1st class Passes are valid on the Leonardo Express.)

Hmm. We may need a ruling from Ron in Rome on this one. His website says: "the system is designed so NO passes or discount tickets apply on the route to and from the FCO airport. The governing body has made sure that your Roma Pass or other discount passes are not valid to take you all the way out to the airport..."

I believe RIR is talking about passes for Rome transportation and not rail passes. You cannot buy a 1, 3 or 7 day transport pass for the metro, bus or trams of Rome and use it to get to the airport. I'm pretty sure you can use a first class rail pass for the L.E. It's a totally different type of pass and has different rules. Donna
