Radicondoli, Italy

I will be staying in Tuscany for my honeymoon at the end of October. We are staying at a lovely apartment at a farmhouse that is right outside of Radicondoli. We have a car and will probably take day trips to Siena and Lucca. Does anyone have any information on Radicondoli or the surrounding areas? Just want to get a better picture of what to expect as we have only stayed in Rome and Florence in the past. Thanks for your help

We rode our bike to Radicondoli on the way to Volterra...there is nothing there. You can walk from one end of the town to the other in 2 minutes. There is no piazza to speak of, but a clock tower with a statue in front of it. The views from the town walls are pretty, but this town can be skipped.

However, you are not far from Volterra, and this is a town that is must see. The Roman ruins are wonderful, as is the Etruscan museum. also, just across the valley is San Gimignano, also a must see little town. climb the tower for a fantastic view of the town well/piazza and the beautiful hills all around.

If you are curious...then drive to Radicondoli, just to see for yourself, mark it off your map, and continue on to Volterra!
